Position Summary

Rental Guys in Sacramento, CA is seeking a dependable Equipment Service Technician / Yard Associate to join our weekday team. This hands-on role involves inspecting, cleaning, and servicing rental equipment, loading and unloading customers and delivery trucks, and keeping the facility clean and organized.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, clean, and perform basic service on rental equipment (fuel, oil, filters, tires, etc.)
• Load and unload customer vehicles and company delivery trucks safely and efficiently
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard and facility
• Assist customers with equipment check-in and check-out
• Perform basic operational checks to ensure equipment is rent-ready
• Identify and tag damaged or unsafe equipment for repair
• Support drivers and mechanics with yard and shop operations as needed

Requirements

• Prior experience in equipment service, yard operations, or a related field preferred
• Basic mechanical knowledge of construction or landscaping equipment
• Ability to operate forklifts, skid steers, or similar machinery (training available if needed)
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and customer-service oriented
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Valid driver’s license required
